remarkable work in Fonzaso is the church della Nativitą di Maria,
whose period of construction is unknown. It was a parish church
already in 1500, then re-built in 1581 and in 1610 after a devastating
fire which destroyed the village. The sacred building features some
paintings by Frigimelica, Forabosco and by other well known artists
in the territory, besides two remarkable wooden statues by Francesco
Terilli. Outside, a fresco depicting San Cristoforo carrying a child
on his shoulders, surrounded by a lush landscape. Leaving Fonzaso
towards Primiero and along the Pedesalto gallery you can admire
the extensive mountain landscape and discover in a high position
facing the mount Cismon the small but striking church of Santa Giustina,
easily reachable by bike through a dirt road. The church has been
recently restored thanks to the support of the local alpini. It
features some fine 15th-century frescos, presumably executed by
              Giovanni di Francia. .

Lamon, homeland of the "bean" par excellence, stands out on a hill,
the possible site of an old castle (maybe belonging to Lamone, son
of Ercole and eponym of the place) the fine church of San Pietro
Apostolo which is surrounded by a small and striking cemetery. Destroyed
by a fire in 1500 and later on re-built, it features a fresco of
San Cristoforo, like in the church of Fonzaso. Inside, it contains
16th-century paintings such as a Last Judgement by Agostino Landrise,
Marco da Mel's son-in-law, an important artist who has also executed
the Madonna with Child, to be seen in the same church. Other remarkable
works are by Pietro de' Marescalchi (Madonna with Child, San Pietro
and San Paolo on the main Altar, 1571) and San Giovanni Battista
by Frigimelica (mid of the 17th century).
