ROUTE 2 - "Mount Avena"

SLOPES (maximum 15%)
ITINERARY :It follows the road as indicated in route no. 1 up to Ponte Serra, it continues towards Faller for 5 km with 4% slopes, then towards Col Falcon and La segheria (follow the sign to Servo). After a short slope (about 0,7 km) it reaches a junction. Turn right uphill, go through Salzen - Aune towards Croce d'Aune at 1015 m. (at times steep slopes over 15% !!). Return to Feltre downhill through Pedavena. The itinerary mainly runs along an alpine area presenting meadows, woods and interesting places dotted with the typical local constructions. Along the itinerary several areas to relax and drinking fountains.

rom Lamon, the Via Claudia runs downhill towards the Cismon stream, then again uphill towards Sovramonte. At Sorriva and near the church of S. Giorgio the itinerary follows at intervals the ancient traces of the original Via Claudia, which ran slightly above our way, although side by side, certainly going through Murer, Aune, Cimamonte and northwards by the Colmeda sources. The historical Roman route and the bicycle itinerary meet again at Lamen.
